Robotic spine surgery or spine surgery that is guided by robots is one of the latest advancements in spinal surgery. Robots assist the surgeon in precise planning of spine surgery. The surgery is performed with smaller incisions, lesser bleeding and lower radiation exposure. Recovery time is reduced and therefore hospital stay is shorter than conventional surgery. The outcomes of robotic spine surgery have been found to be equally good if not better than conventional surgery.
